A wonderful, lesser-known cousin to the bagel, a bialy is topped with chopped onion and poppy seeds. Unlike the bagel, a bialy is not boiled and has a lighter more delicate consistency. If you haven't had one, we recommend it hot and toasty with melting cream cheese on top. Fara's favorite is scallion which brings out the flavor of the delicious onion bialy topping.
